FAQ

Q: What ages do you teach?
A: Ages 10 and up. Here's some more info.

Q: Do you provide guitars?
A: No, you need to bring your own guitar to your lessons. Here's some info on how to buy your first guitar.

Q: I wanted to get lessons for someone as a gift. Do you have any type of Gift Certificates available?
A: Yes, Gift Certificates are available at our Store - click here.

Q: Can I take lessons every other week or once a month?
A: No, I only teach weekly lessons, and they are for 30 minutes. And students need to commit to practicing on a daily basis.

Q: My schedule varies and I would not be able to make it to the lesson every week, what should I do?
A: Unfortunately, I am unable to set up 'Custom Times" for students - my roster is usually pretty full with students who make the lessons every week - so sorry I am unable to accommodate this.

Q: What hours/days do you teach?
A: Mondays thru Thursdays 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturdays 10:00 am till 3:00 pm

Q: How much does it cost for lessons?
A: $100/ month for a 1/2 hour weekly lesson. click here for details.

Q: Will you come to my home for lessons?
A: No, I only teach out of my studio.

Q: What part of town are you located?
A: Bearss & N. Boulevard area - close to I-275/Bearss.

Q: Can I take lessons with someone else (2 people at a time or group lessons)?
A: No, I only teach private lessons (1 on 1)

Q: Can I take a 1 hour lesson once a week or every other week?
A: You can take 1 hour lessons with me once a week if you are an intermediate or advanced student only. This will depend on time availability as well. I do not offer lessons every other week.

Q: Can I leave my child under 18 with you while I go do other things?
A: No, children need to be accompanied by the parent/guardian during the lesson - this is good to see what is going on with the lessons themselves.

Q: How soon can I expect to see results?
A: There is no easy answer to this question because of so many factors.. ie your learning capabilities, your commitment to making all of your lessons and practice. Most students see progress in a matter of weeks with my unique training methods. If you are commited to practice an hour per day, you should see results rather quickly.

Q: How much time per day do I need to practice?
A: The more time you spend each day practicing EFFECTIVELY, the quicker you will see results. I suggest a minimum of 1/2 hour per day, but suggest an hour to see quicker results. (2 hours per day will amaze you!)

Q. What makes you different than other teachers?
A: Great question and I get this one frequently... I am not about "showing off" to the students and make them feel less than me, I encourage them to stay focused on what they want to learn and I work closely to identify each individual's needs, and structure their lessons accordingly.

The Custom Curriculum program that I offer my students is a very structured environment that gives you specific tasks to complete each week. I spend allot of time on my students when they are NOT at their lesson, so I can focus on making every one of them a success. I personally, have had learning difficulties in my life and know how hard it is to learn things, so I keep that in mind also when teaching. I also have allot of patience when teaching, which is very important.

The tools that I give students to help them better themselves is also important. In this age of technology, there are so many things that they can use to help them better themselves in their playing. I am not afraid of telling them as well as showing them everything that is out there to become better musicians. My students use a software that coaches them during their practice time at home, I provide backing tracks that I have created exclusively for my training program, so students have a "Virtual Band" to play exercises with. Students can eventually record a CD in my studio of their works - something they can play for others and be proud of their achievements.
