Q: I wanted to get lessons for someone as a gift. Do you have any type of Gift Certificates available?
A: Yes, Gift Certificates are available at our Store - click here.
Q: How much does it cost for lessons?
A: $100/ month. click here for details.
Q: Will you come to my home for lessons?
A: No, I only teach out of my studio.
Q: What part of town are you located?
A: Bearss & N. Boulevard area - close to I-275/Bearss
Q: Can I leave my child under 18 with you while I go do other things?
A: No, children need to be accompanied by the parent/guardian during the lesson - this is good to see what is going on with the lessons themselves.
Q: How soon can I expect to see results?
A: This is mostly dependent on how much time the student is spending on practice. Usually in between 6 months and a year, most students should be able to keep up with playing basic songs.
I have seen certain students progress much faster than others.
Q: How much time per day do I need to practice?
A: The more time you spend each day practicing EFFECTIVELY, the quicker you will see results. I suggest a minimum of 1/2 hour per day, but suggest an hour to see quicker results.
Q. What makes you different than other teachers?
A: Great question and I get this one frequently... I am not about "showing off" to the students and make them feel less than me, I encourage them to stay focused and I work closely to identify each individual's needs, and structure their lessons accordingly. Some people learn differently than others. I have had learning difficulties in my life and know how hard it is to learn things, so I keep that in mind when teaching. I also have allot of patience when teaching which is very important. The tools that I give students to help them better themselves is also important. In this age of technology, there are so many things that they can use to help them better themselves in their playing. I am not afraid of telling them as well as showing them everything that is out there to become better musicians. I also use backing tracks with lessons to help them get used to playing with a band. These are but a few differentiaters. Please take your time when picking the right teacher - make sure they can deliver what they promise.
